of <h1>India Amends Urea Import Policy: Technical Grade Urea Now 'Free' for Non-Agricultural Use via Designated Trading Enterprises.</h1> The Government of India has amended the import policy for urea under Exim Code 31021000. The revised policy allows the import of technical grade urea (TGU) for non-agricultural purposes, industrial use, and NPK manufacturing to be 'free,' subject to actual user conditions. Import is permitted through State Trading Corporation (STC), Metals and Minerals Trading Corporation (MMTC), and Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers (RCF), which is now designated as a State Trading Enterprise (STE) for urea imports on government account. This amendment is effective immediately and approved by the Minister of Commerce & Industry.
