<h1>India Updates Urea Import Policy: Industrial and Technical Grades Now Free with Conditions; IPL Removed as Trading Enterprise.</h1> The Central Government of India has amended the import policy conditions for urea under Chapter 31 of the ITC (HS) 2017, Schedule-I. The revised policy allows the import of industrial, non-agricultural, and technical grade urea to be 'Free' with an Actual User Condition, while imports through State Trading Enterprises (STC and MMTC) remain subject to specific conditions under the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020. Additionally, Indian Potash Limited (IPL) in Chennai has been removed as a State Trading Enterprise for urea imports. This amendment is issued with the approval of the Minister of Commerce & Industry.
