India Imposes Provisional Anti-Dumping Duty on Chinese Ceramic Tableware, Kitchenware to Protect Domestic Industry.
The Government of India has imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of ceramic tableware and kitchenware, excluding knives and toilet items, originating from or exported by China. This measure, effective for up to six months unless altered earlier, follows findings that these products were being dumped in India at prices below their normal value, causing material injury to the domestic industry. The duty is set at USD 1.04 per kilogram and is applicable to goods under headings 6911 and 6912 of the Customs Tariff Act. The exchange rate for duty calculation will be as specified by the Ministry of Finance.
