of <h1>India Amends Laws to Merge Tribunals, Set Service Conditions for Chairpersons u/s 156, Finance Act 2017.</h1> The Central Government of India has enacted amendments to certain acts, effective from May 26, 2017, to facilitate the merger of tribunals and other authorities, as well as to establish conditions of service for chairpersons and members. This action is executed under the authority of Section 156 of the Finance Act, 2017. The notification was issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, and formalized by Joint Secretary Udai Singh Kumawat.
