of <h1>Central Government Amends Money Laundering Notification to Include State Police and Regulators from September 2010.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. G.S.R. 381(E) dated 27th June 2006, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002. The amendment, effective from 15th September 2010, adds two new entries to the existing notification: the State Police Department and a Regulator as defined under clause (fa) of rule 2 of the Prevention of Money Laundering (Maintenance of Records) Rules, 2005. This change is made in the public interest, enhancing the framework for monitoring and preventing money laundering activities.
