of <h1>Companies Can Hold EGMs via Video Conferencing Until December 31, 2021, Due to COVID-19 Measures.</h1> The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has extended the period for companies to conduct Extraordinary General Meetings (EGMs) through Video Conferencing (VC) or Other Audio-Visual Means (OAVM), or to transact items via postal ballot, until 31st December 2021. This extension is in line with previous circulars issued in response to COVID-19, maintaining all other existing requirements. The extension aims to facilitate compliance with the Companies Act, 2013, amid ongoing pandemic-related challenges. The decision has been approved by the competent authority and communicated to relevant stakeholders, including regional directors and registrars.
