of <h1>India Resumes Physical Certificates of Origin for Exports to Thailand and Vietnam under ASEAN-India FTA.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade of India has announced the restoration of the issuance of physical Certificates of Origin for exports to Thailand and Vietnam under the ASEAN-India Free Trade Agreement. This decision follows difficulties faced by exporters in gaining preferential access using digitally signed electronic certificates due to COVID-19 restrictions. Exporters must now submit applications manually to designated agencies, namely EIA, MPEDA, and the Textile Committee. The digital platform will no longer accept applications for Thailand and Vietnam but will continue to process those for other countries under the ASEAN-India FTA.
