of <h1>India Mandates Online Platform for Preferential Certificates of Origin Under FTAs/PTAs, Effective April 7, 2020.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade announced the mandatory use of an online platform for the electronic filing and issuance of Preferential Certificates of Origin for India's exports under various Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and Preferential Trade Agreements (PTAs) starting April 7, 2020. This platform will streamline the process, allowing exporters to apply for and receive digitally signed certificates, eliminating the need for hard copies due to COVID-19 restrictions. The system includes traceability features and requires a Digital Signature Certificate for verification. Exporters can access help through the DGFT's support channels for any assistance.
