<h1>India Increases Toor (Pigeon Peas) Import Quota to 400,000 Metric Tons for 2019-20 Under Revised Policy.</h1> The Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, issued a notification allowing an additional import quota of 200,000 metric tons of Toor (Pigeon Peas) for the fiscal year 2019-20, raising the total import quota to 400,000 metric tons. This notification, effective upon publication in the official Gazette, amends the existing import policy under the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992. The import restriction does not apply to government commitments under bilateral or regional agreements. The Directorate General of Foreign Trade will notify the procedure for this revised policy.
