Minor nominees need an adult recipient.</h1> A subscriber to the Public Provident Fund Scheme, 1968, can nominate individuals using Form E to receive their account balance upon their death. Nominations cannot be made for minor accounts. Subscribers can alter nominations via Form F, and such changes are registered at the accounts office. If a nominee is a minor, an adult can be designated to receive funds during the nominee's minority. Upon a subscriber's death, nominees apply with Form G and proof of death to claim funds. Without a nomination, legal heirs may claim the balance with necessary documentation. Trusts cannot be nominated.
