Pass book requirement: must be issued at account opening and ordinarily presented for deposits and withdrawals. On opening an account under the National Savings Scheme Rules an authorised Post Office official must provide a pass book showing the account number, depositor's name and address and an initialled entry of the first deposit; the pass book is ordinarily required to be presented for all deposits and withdrawals.
