of <h1>Finance Act 2000 amends Section 80-IA: Expands eligible projects to include water, sanitation, and waste management systems.</h1> Section 80-IA of the Income-tax Act was amended by the Finance Act, 2000. In sub-section (3), the phrase 'any industrial undertaking' was replaced with 'an industrial undertaking referred to in clause (iv) of sub-section (4).' Additionally, in sub-section (4), clause (i), the Explanation for clause (c) was revised to include 'a water supply project, water treatment system, irrigation project, sanitation and sewerage system or solid waste management system,' effective from April 1, 2001.
