of <h1>Vacation of Seats in State Legislatures Expanded Under Constitution (52nd Amendment) Act to Include Both Disqualification Clauses of Article 191</h1> The Constitution (52nd Amendment) Act, 1985 modifies Article 190(3)(a) by replacing 'clause (1) of Article 191' with 'clause (1) or clause (2) of Article 191.' This amendment expands the constitutional provision regarding vacation of seats in state legislatures to include disqualifications under both clauses of Article 191. The amendment came into force on March 1, 1985, as notified through G.S.R. 131(E).
