2015's 100th Amendment Act redefines territories of Assam, West Bengal, Meghalaya, and Tripura, updating the First Schedule.
The Constitution (100th Amendment) Act, 2015, modifies the First Schedule of the Constitution concerning the territories of four Indian states: Assam, West Bengal, Meghalaya, and Tripura. For Assam, additional territories referred to in the Second Schedule of the Amendment Act are included, overriding previous provisions from the Ninth Amendment Act, 1960. West Bengal's territory description now excludes certain areas from the Second Schedule of the Amendment Act. Meghalaya's territory is expanded to include certain areas from the First Schedule, excluding others from the Second Schedule. Tripura's territory is adjusted to include areas from the First Schedule, overriding prior Ninth Amendment Act provisions.
