Territorial transfer: constitutional amendment enabling implementation of a bilateral agreement to adjust borders and transfer areas. The Act amends the Constitution to enable implementation of arrangements for India to acquire territory and to transfer specified territory to Bangladesh pursuant to a bilateral agreement and its protocol, thereby providing domestic constitutional authority for the territorial adjustments agreed between the two Governments.
