Definition of previous owner updated: only last prior owner by other acquisition modes counts for capital gains treatment. Amendment to Section 49 adds reference to clause (v) in sub clause (e) of clause (iii) and expressly defines 'previous owner of the property' as the last previous owner who acquired the capital asset by a mode other than those in clauses (i), (ii) or (iii) of the section.
