Selection Committee recommendations: panel submissions determine shortlisted candidates for each vacancy and review prior appointments. On reference by the Central Government the Committee must recommend a panel of up to three persons in order of merit for each vacancy referred, and it must review pre existing appointments to the Competition Commission of India and make appropriate recommendations concerning those appointments.
