of <h1>New CCI Regulations: Transition Rules for Mergers and Acquisitions Effective in 2024, Section 6 and 6A Compliance Required.</h1> Regulation 34 of the CCI (Combinations) Regulations, 2024, outlines a transition provision for acquisitions, mergers, or amalgamations that take effect on or after the regulations' commencement date. These transactions must comply with sub-sections (2) and (4) of section 6 and section 6A of the Act, provided they meet section 5 requirements and are not exempt under existing rules. Additionally, section 43A does not apply to any part of the transaction that occurred before the regulations' effective date if it previously did not require notice to the Commission.
