of <h1>Finance Act 2017: Section 186 amended to protect tribunal officials' service terms from unfavorable changes post-appointment.</h1> Section 186 of the Finance Act, 2017, is amended to include a new sub-section (2). This provision ensures that the salary, allowances, and other terms and conditions of service for positions such as Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Chairman, Vice-Chairman, President, Vice-President, Presiding Officer, or Member of a Tribunal, Appellate Tribunal, or other Authority cannot be altered to their disadvantage after their appointment, subject to sections 184 and 185.
