Implementation legislation required: contracting parties must enact laws to give effect to treaty obligations under the DTAA. Contracting Parties must adopt domestic implementation legislation to ensure compliance with and give effect to the Agreement; this includes enactment or amendment of statutes so treaty provisions, including information exchange mechanisms, become enforceable and operable within national law.
