of <h1>Regulation 52 repeals 2006 rules on public shareholding in stock exchanges; prior actions remain valid under 2012 rules.</h1> Regulation 52 of the Securities Contracts (Regulation) (Stock Exchanges and Clearing Corporations) Regulations, 2012, repeals the 2006 regulations concerning public shareholding in recognized stock exchanges. Despite this repeal, any actions taken under the 2006 regulations before the 2012 regulations commenced are considered valid under the new regulations. Furthermore, any references to the repealed regulations in existing regulations, guidelines, or directions are to be interpreted as references to the corresponding provisions in the 2012 regulations.
