of <h1>Amendment to Section 8 of Prevention of Money-laundering Act extends investigation period from 90 to 365 days.</h1> Section 8 of the Prevention of Money-laundering Act, 2002, is amended to extend the period specified in sub-section (3), clause (a), from ninety days to three hundred and sixty-five days. Additionally, a new explanation is added, clarifying that any period during which an investigation is stayed by a court will be excluded from the computation of the three hundred and sixty-five-day period. This amendment will take effect from a date appointed by the Central Government and published in the Official Gazette.
