Commencement provision: amendments to the Indian Stamp Act come into force on government notification publication in the Official Gazette. The provisions of this Part shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint; the operative trigger for the amendments to the Indian Stamp Act is publication of that notification.
