Presiding officer of board meetings: Chairman presides, or members present choose a chair in his absence. Under the Procedure for Board Meetings Regulations, 2001 the Chairman is the presiding officer of Board meetings; if the Chairman cannot attend, any other member chosen by the members present at the meeting shall preside.
