Rule 7 of SEBI Rules: Serving Notices via Mail, Fax, Courier, or Newspaper Publication if Other Methods Fail.
Rule 7 of the SEBI (Procedure for Holding Inquiry and Imposing Penalties by Adjudicating Officer) Rules, 1995 outlines the methods for serving notices and orders. Notices can be delivered directly to the person or their authorized agent, or sent via fax, electronic mail, courier, or registered post to their last known address. If these methods fail, notices may be affixed to the person's residence or business premises, witnessed by two individuals. As a last resort, notices can be published in two newspapers: one English daily with nationwide circulation and another in the regional language where the person last resided or worked.
