Board meeting convening: quarterly meeting requirement with Chairperson-led and member-requisitioned convening powers. The Governing Board must hold at least four meetings a year with one in each quarter. The Chairperson is the primary authority to convene meetings, with a nominated Member acting in the Chairperson's absence. Any three Members can require the Chairperson to convene a meeting, or the Secretary if the Chairperson is unavailable. Meetings occur at times and places stated in the notice, ordinarily at the head office though other locations in India may be used. The Chairperson presides, or a Member chosen by those present presides if the Chairperson is unable to attend.
