Nomination facility for foreign exchange deposit accounts enables authorised dealers to permit nominee designation for specified account types. Authorised dealers may provide a nomination facility for accounts maintained by individual account holders under the NRE, FCNR(B), NRO, NRNR and NRSR deposit schemes, and for accounts maintained by diplomatic personnel under the cited sub-regulations, thereby defining the scope of permissible nominee designation for these foreign exchange deposit account types.
