Central Government Can Transfer Property Between Treasurers Under Section 12 of the Charitable Endowments Act, 1890
Section 12 of the Charitable Endowments Act, 1890, allows the Central Government to transfer property vested in a Treasurer of Charitable Endowments to another Treasurer. This can occur due to changes in administrative areas, the appointment of a new Treasurer for India or a State, or any other reason deemed necessary by the government. Once directed, the property will be vested in the new Treasurer and their successors, maintaining the same legal effect as if it had been originally vested under the Act.
