of <h1>New Rules for Company Record Preservation and Disposal Under Sections 642(1) and 163(1A) of Companies Act, 1956</h1> The Companies (Preservation and Disposal of Records) Rules, 1966, were established by the Central Government under the authority of section 642(1) and section 163(1A) of the Companies Act, 1956. These rules, aimed at regulating the preservation and disposal of company records, were officially titled as such and came into effect on February 1, 1966. The notification regarding these rules was published in the Gazette of India on January 15, 1966.
