Producer company objects include production, processing, marketing, financing and welfare services for members' primary produce.

Section 378B authorises Producer Companies to engage in production, procurement, processing, marketing, supply of machinery, education on mutual assistance, technical and advisory services, resource revitalisation, insurance, welfare, ancillary activities, and financing (including credit and other financial services) for the benefit of members. It requires that a Producer Company deal primarily with the produce of its active Members and permits undertaking specified activities either directly or through other institutions.
