of <h1>Union Budget 2025-26 extends SWFs and PFs investment deadline to 2030 under section 10(23FE), boosting infrastructure growth.</h1> The Union Budget 2025-26 proposes amendments to extend the investment deadline for Sovereign Wealth Funds (SWFs) and Pension Funds (PFs) from March 31, 2025, to March 31, 2030, under clause (23FE) of section 10 of the Act. This extension aims to support long-term infrastructure investments in India. Additionally, the proposal seeks to ensure that long-term capital gains from investments by SWFs and PFs in India are exempt from being classified as short-term capital gains, addressing changes made by the Finance (No. 2) Act, 2024. These amendments will be effective from April 1, 2025.
