SION notes require imports and exports of food products to meet prevailing PFA specifications and, where applicable, permit import only after export performance and grant of an EODC. Applicants must ensure imported goods correspond to inputs used or required in the exported product, and permissible input proportions for manufacture are determined under the policy as an enforceable compliance mechanism.
