Revised import input norms for exporting exercise books, diaries and notebooks; writing paper allowance reduced to 1.07 kg/kg.
SION A1579 for ruled/unruled/printed stationery products (including exercise books, diaries, notebooks, registers, writing pads, drawing books and ruled sheets) is revised by substituting the input norms and reducing the permissible entitlement for writing/printing paper of GSM 50-150 to 1.07 kg per kg content in the export product (from 1.126). The schedule prescribes allowable inputs and quantities for relevant printing ink (1.0 gm), graphic art/lithographic film plates (up to 2% of FOB value), binding materials (gum/glue at 1 kg per 100 kg of paper used; PVC leather/metal wire at 1.05 kg per kg content), PVC/BOPP film (only where the export product has jacket/lamination) at 1.05, and relevant paper board/plasticiser paper at 1.05, thereby determining import entitlement limits linked to export.
