of <h1>India Bans Import and Export of Rough Diamonds to Venezuela Following Kimberley Process Withdrawal</h1> The Central Government, under the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, has amended the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009 to prohibit the import and export of rough diamonds (HS Code 7102.10, 7102.21, and 7102.31) from and to Venezuela. This decision follows Venezuela's voluntary withdrawal from the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS), which is essential for certifying diamond exports. Consequently, no Kimberley Process Certificates will be accepted, endorsed, or issued for rough diamond transactions involving Venezuela. This measure is issued in the public interest by the Director-General of Foreign Trade.
