New 0.94.3 Hectares Added to Hi-Tech Engineering SEZ in Tamil Nadu Under SEZ Act, 2005

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has notified an additional area of 0.94.3 hectares in Kittampalayam and Karumathampatti Village, Palladam Taluk, Coimbatore District, Tamil Nadu, to be included in a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for hi-tech engineering. This SEZ is being developed by a company, under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The initial area of 104.60.4 hectares was notified in August 2007, with an additional 46.94.10 hectares added in November 2007. The government has approved the proposal, fulfilling all necessary legal requirements, and the SEZ will include specific survey numbers in the designated villages.
