This adjustment reduces the SEZ's total area to 86.7105 hectares. The SEZ was initially proposed by a private organization and has undergone several name changes, currently known as M/s Aspen Infrastructures Ltd. The de-notification was approved by both the State Government of Tamil Nadu and the Development Commissioner, following the fulfillment of legal requirements under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005.
