Provisional Anti-Dumping Duty Imposed on Polyester Yarns from Asia Revoked; Initial Duty of $107/MT Now Rescinded.
The notification initially imposed an anti-dumping duty on imports of fully drawn, fully oriented, spin drawn, or flat yarns of polyester from Indonesia, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, and Chinese Taipei, due to findings that these goods were being sold in India below normal value, causing injury to the domestic industry. A price undertaking by a Korean corporation was revoked, leading to the imposition of a provisional anti-dumping duty of US$ 107 per metric tonne on these imports. This duty was effective from November 15, 2007, to November 14, 2008, payable in Indian currency. The notification was later rescinded.
