India Amends Rule to Exempt Certain Vitrified and Porcelain Tiles from Anti-Dumping Duties, Effective Retroactively from 2007.
The Central Government of India has amended Notification No. 73/2003-Customs to exempt certain imports of vitrified and porcelain tiles from anti-dumping duties. This decision follows a review that recognized specific producers and exporters from China and Malaysia as new shippers with minimal dumping margins. Consequently, imports of these tiles, produced by a Chinese company and exported by two companies from China and Malaysia, will not incur anti-dumping duties. The amendment is effective retroactively from April 30, 2007, aligning with the provisional assessment notification date.
