of <h1>Anti-dumping duty imposed on Chinese and UAE vitrified tiles to protect Indian industry until May 2008.</h1> The notification imposes an anti-dumping duty on imports of vitrified and porcelain tiles from China and the UAE, as these products were found to be exported to India below normal value, causing injury to the Indian industry. The duty is effective from May 2, 2002, with specified rates for different exporters, and is payable in Indian currency. Certain producers and exporters from China and the UAE are exempted from this duty. The notification remains in force until May 1, 2008, unless revoked earlier, and the exchange rate for duty calculation is determined by the Ministry of Finance.
