India Ends Anti-Dumping Duties on PHPG Base Imports from Singapore After Review Finds No Injury from Dumped Goods
The Government of India has rescinded Notification No. 100/2006-Customs, which imposed anti-dumping duties on imports of D (-) Para Hydroxy Phenyl Glycine Base (PHPG Base) from Singapore. The decision follows a review by the designated authority, which found that although the goods were exported below normal values and the domestic industry suffered injury, the industry could not prove that the injury was due to dumped imports. Furthermore, it was determined that discontinuing the anti-dumping duty would not adversely affect the domestic industry's performance. This rescission takes effect immediately, except for actions already undertaken.
