of <h1>Eligibility for Navjyoti Centre Project Extended Under Section 35AC of Income Tax Act for Three More Years</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the project 'Construction, equipment, furnishing of Navjyoti Centre for mentally handicapped' by the Association for Advancement and Rehabilitation of Handicapped (AAROH) as an eligible scheme under Section 35AC of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Initially notified in 1995, the project has been periodically extended and is now approved for an additional three years starting from the financial year 2007-2008. The project maintains an approved cost of Rs. 51 lakh plus a corpus fund of Rs. 30 lakh.
