of <h1>Leprosy Eradication Project in Gujarat Gains 3-Year Extension and Increased Tax Deduction u/s 35AC.</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of a project for leprosy eradication, rehabilitation of those affected by leprosy and their children, and rural health in Rajendranagar, Gujarat, conducted by Sahyog Kushthayagna Trust. Initially recognized under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961, the project has been approved for an additional three years starting from the financial year 2006-07. The project's cost allowance for tax deduction has been increased from Rs. 1.30 crore plus a corpus fund of Rs. 1.70 crore to Rs. 2.60 crore plus a corpus fund of Rs. 2.70 crore.
