of <h1>Leprosy Eradication Project in Gujarat Trust Extended for 3 Years Under Section 35AC of Income-tax Act</h1> The Central Government has specified the scheme of a trust in Rajendra Nagar, Tal-Himatnagar, District Sabarkantha, Gujarat, as eligible under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. This scheme, focused on leprosy eradication, rehabilitation of those afflicted and their children, and rural health, was initially approved for three years starting from the 1995-96 assessment year. Upon recommendation by the National Committee, the project has been extended for an additional three years, starting from the 1998-99 assessment year, with an estimated cost of INR 90,70,000.
