India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on Chinese Chloroquine Phosphate Imports Until 2009 to Protect Domestic Industry
The notification imposes an anti-dumping duty on Chloroquine phosphate imported from the People's Republic of China, as it was found to be exported to India below its normal value, causing material injury to the domestic industry. The duty, effective from December 15, 2003, is set at a rate equivalent to the difference between a specified amount and the landed value of the goods. The duty applies to Chloroquine phosphate in bulk form, regardless of the producer or exporter, and will remain in force until September 2, 2009, unless revoked earlier. The duty is payable in Indian currency.
