of <h1>Water Supply Projects for Agriculture and Industry Exempted from Customs Duties by 2004 Notification, Later Rescinded in 2020.</h1> The Central Government issued Notification No. 14/2004-Customs on January 8, 2004, exempting water supply projects for agricultural and industrial use from customs duties under the Customs Act, 1962. This exemption applies to projects classified under heading 9801 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, and includes facilities such as water pumping stations, reservoirs, and treatment plants for desalination, demineralization, or purification. The notification took effect on January 9, 2004, and was later rescinded by Notification No. 12/2020-Customs on February 2, 2020.
