The amendment clarifies the scope of a 'Water Supply Project' to include facilities such as water pumping stations, water storage reservoirs, and water treatment plants for desalination, demineralization, or purification. These facilities are intended to make water suitable for agricultural or industrial use. This amendment is deemed necessary in the public interest and is effective as of March 1, 2011.
