India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on Analgin Imports from China to Protect Domestic Industry Until April 2006
The Central Government of India has imposed an anti-dumping duty on imports of Analgin and its synonyms from China. This decision follows findings that these imports have been sold below normal value, causing material injury to the domestic industry. Initially imposed in 2001, the duty has been reaffirmed and will remain effective until April 8, 2006, unless altered. The duty rate is set at $2.592 per kilogram and must be paid in Indian currency. The applicable exchange rate for duty calculation will be determined by the rate specified in relevant government notifications at the time of the bill of entry presentation.
