India Extends Anti-Dumping Duty on Chinese Metronidazole to Protect Domestic Industry Until June 14, 2012.
The Central Government has decided to continue imposing an anti-dumping duty on Metronidazole imported from China, following a review by the designated authority. The review concluded that the imports were below normal value, causing material injury to the domestic industry. To prevent further injury and dumping, the anti-dumping duty will be applied based on the difference between the reference price and the landed value, payable in Indian currency. This measure is intended to protect the domestic industry from unfair trade practices and will remain in effect until June 14, 2012, unless revoked earlier.
