<h1>Government Appoints Enforcement Officers as Adjudicating Authorities for Foreign Exchange Management Act Cases u/s 13.</h1> The Central Government, under the powers of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999, has appointed specific officers from the Directorate of Enforcement as adjudicating authorities for inquiries related to adjudication under section 13 of the Act. This notification supersedes the previous notification dated June 1, 2000, except for actions already taken. The designated officers and their monetary jurisdiction are as follows: Director and Special Director for cases over five crore rupees, Additional Director for cases between three and five crore rupees, Joint Director for cases between one and three crore rupees, Deputy Director for cases between fifty lakh and one crore rupees, and Assistant Director for cases up to fifty lakh rupees.
