of <h1>India Updates Customs Exemption: Jute Products from Bangladesh Now Included Under Amended Notification No. 8/2011-Customs.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has amended Notification No. 8/2011-Customs to exempt certain jute products when imported from Bangladesh. This amendment, effective from December 23, 2011, modifies the original notification dated February 14, 2011, by replacing the figures '5310, 5705' with '5307, 5310, 5607, 5705' in the list of exempted items. This change is made under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, and is deemed necessary in the public interest.
